hi guys,

i'm looking for a set of cheap-ish tires that'll give me decent enjoyment on track, not looking to spend more than $1500 for an 18" setup. 225/40/18 for the front and 255/35/18 for the rear.

federal is no longer available as far as i know and hankook is no longer cheap. i'd also need a recommendation for a shop that'll help me store the tires between track days.

thanks

Cheap Track Tires

Hey there,

Wonder if you've heard of Poh Heng Tires. Competitive and wide range. Storing no problem. They are located at AMK Ave 1 Industrial Park

hi,

from personal experience, i was told that storing is a problem and i personally wouldn't go back to poh heng again.

quick to promise, slow to deliver.

the one and only time i patronised them, my brand new prodrive rims were damaged. tire stocks took a long time to come in and i ended up waiting for more than a week before giving up and switching to another brand of tires, which took another week to be delivered.

so in total 2 weeks without rims and tires.

in contrast, leong seng from whom i bought the rims from, made a mistake with their sea freight packing list and left my rims out of the shipment. but to meet the promised deadline, they actually airfreighted my rims over from japan, at their own expense.

in reference to my first post, i settled for falken RT615s.

cheers
